The VLN is a Novus Ordo NS leaderless partisan movement operating in the Netherlands. They were founded in 1935 to help St. Hitler's rise to power; however, after Mussolini and the emperors' combined effort, they were reduced to a handful of members. Despite being leaderless, NSDAP SS commander Johannes Hendrik Feldmeijer (now known as Ronald DeHondt) worked with them and took many of their members to join the Dutch SS divisions. After the war and the dissolution of the Dutch SS, the Netherlands were regiven to the Spanish after having lost their territory for nearly 200 years. The VLN, although weakend and with very small members still attempted to fight even after Italian and Imperial troops nearly eradicated them.
In 2018, they came back with stronger forces, being supplied by the Rattleboneists, Jacobins, and Novus Ordo. They are mainly attacking Spanish military fortifications and ports, or spreading propaganda supporting a Netherlands not controlled by the Spanish. They claim to be successors to William the silent, which makes sense because he is evil. They are also staunch supporters of Il Poo and desire her restoration as Stadtholder of the Netherlands and "queen" of Sicily.
After a 2023 shooting leaving 48 dead and 83 wounded outside of Utrecht, the motive being to harm Catholics in the city, the Pope would declare the VLN terrorists and would send 1,500 extra troops from the HRE to combat the VLNs growing numbers and influence.
