Sicilian Army, somewhere near Memphis
TinyTown Red Platoon in Egypt
PRECURSOR
Egypt was under Sicilian rule for many hundreds of years, but the Egyptians had gained independence in 1785. In 1924, after the government change, King Giovanni Gentile wanted to regain its old former lands, and threatened the Egyptian king with war if he did not return the land. The Egyptian king had received the letter and ripped it to several bits, and returned a letter to Gentile calling him a coward.
WAR
15,000 Sicilian troops led by Erwinu Romelu had landed in Egypt, and had initially steam rolled the Egyptians. In 2 months, the last holdout was in Cairo, and a Sicilian victory seemed imminent. 4,500 Sicilian troops were sent in to fight against an army of only 1200 Egyptian defenders. However, reinforcements from TinyTown soon arrived, boosting the garrison to 2,500 defenders.
Sicily rolled in, but the new TinyTown Reds proved a great challenge, with greater cunning than that of what was expected. In a few hours, the assault was battered and most of the Sicilian army was either dead or retreating. After the Battle of Cairo, the Sicilian army lost most of its gains in a span of 3 weeks, and Sicily was forced to pull out of Egypt and return to Sicily, signing the Treaty of Cairo with the Egyptians, finally dissolving any land claims Sicily had on Egypt.
