Pope Francis and McCheese visit Iraq to prepare a speech, 2022
BEFORE THE WAR
Uncle Free had been expanding into Iraq for a while in the 2000s, however the Muslim Snails there, under the rule of Snailddam McSein, were in fierce resistance and had given Uncle Free much trouble. Uncle Free had to call upon Francis to assist in the war. However, much controversy grew as it was clear Snailddam did not control Iraq, and was imprisoned, and likely not even a snail. However, Uncle Free had lied to draw Francis into war
THE WAR
Francis in 2001 began launching a series of airstrikes, and in a span of 3 days the country was under the rule of Uncle Free. However, Francis soon noticed that John Paul II (Kosh) was immediately going there and trying to convert the population to the Novus Ordo. Something was off, and soon enough it was clear that the war was a setup. However, the country was already destabilized, and several insurrectionist groups led by the snails such as the Snailiban had begun attacking HRE troops, leading Francis into spending 20 years in Iraq, even after Uncle Free had pulled out.
AFTERMATH
The war left a resounding mark on the population of Iraq, and even after Francis had defeated the Snailiban, itd take years of reparations for Francis to properly rebuild the country after the Novus Ordo setup. In 2022, Francis and McCheese traveled to Iraq to deliver a short, yet inspiring speech, as listed below:
"Pope Francis would like to declare that those novus ordo LOSERS sabatoged us and dragged me by my saggy into a war with this country as a part of their evil plot against the Pope and the Church. It is here we celebrate the first Latin Francis on this day in Iraq since 2002. Francis is willing to pay for all the damages out of his own personal pocket. That is it."
The speech was resounding, and had left the people of Iraq in love with Francis, and motivated for their future. In time we will see Iraq hopefully becoming a prosperous nation under Francis.
