Juan Pablo McGee was a Spanish explorer and priest born in 1573. In 1620, he sent off to explore the Americas, where he later came into contact with a group of snails native to the Caribbean islands.
When he landed, he was met with hostility and almost killed by the snails, however he managed to bargain using a hand signal and quickly adapting to the language they spoke. Upon being saved, he was respected and converted them to Catholicism, and later helped bring other Spanish explorers to the island, forming a prosperous nation in Haiti.
After his death in 1633, he was sent back to Madrid and buried in a massive ceremonial manner. However, after the formation of TinyTown, he was spited by the Tinii and declared an evil man by Yoogen Tinii II. In 1842, the TinyTown navy went to the island of Haiti and exterminated the snails living there, and forever spread to the world that Juan Pablo was an evil man.
Today, after rediscovering records, his true story was recovered, and the Pope is currently examining his life to canonize him as a Saint.
