Spain

Spain is one of the most important countries in the lore and has existed through several phases.

Its first major phase, at least in the lore, was in 1469, when Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon married, unifying the two states. In 1516, King Charles I Habsburg inherited the crown of Castile and Aragon after the death of his grandfather, Ferdinand II. Around this time, several wars were fought against Sicilian Colonial control in Morocco, the Balearic Islands, and Tunisia, eventually fully ousting Sicily from Morocco in 1553.

Spain would be greatly involved in the Thirty Years' Francis, siding with Emperor Francis against Pastor John and the Protestants. 

After the death of Charles II, the Bourbon family took control of Spain in the year 1700. This happened because Charles II named Phillip, duke on Anju, grandson of King Louis XIV (Richard Watterson), his heir. This led to the Spanish War of Succession lasting from 1701 to 1714. 

King Amedeo I in 1873 would give up his status as King and flee the country, leading to the First Spanish Republic; however, a year later in 1874 the monarchy would be restored.

In 1931, King Alfonso XIII fled the country, and the Second Spanish Republic was formed. In 1936, several Nationalist groups united under Francisco Franco and other leaders and launched the Spanish Civil War. In 1934 the island of Medici which it had ruled since the 15th century gained its independence due to political turmoil in the Republic.

During World War Two Spain would be involved in defeating the NSDAP and St. Hitler, sending the Azul Division to help in the Austrian Campaign, and deploying its navy to attack German ships trying to invade Sicily.

Franco would take power and rule Spain until 1975, giving Emperor Francis the crown and restoring the Habsburg lineage of Spain until 2026, when Francis gave up the crown and allowed Ramiro Ledesma Ramos to take over Spain and establish a Falangist state. 

Spain under its current Falangist government has closely aligned itself with the also recently reformed Kingdom of Hungary, which had overthrown the monarchy and instated a Catholic fascist government under Father Andras Kun. Spain has distanced itself from Italy and has shown hostility towards the Kingdom of Sicily under its new king, Joseph Goebbels, who is threatening the Spanish Balearic Islands.
